The Book of Mormon had three “witnesses” who signed their names claiming to have heard the voice of God, seen an angel and even seen the Gold Plates.
And before their deaths, all three of them – Oliver Cowdery, David Whitmer, and Martin Harris renounced Mormonism and were condemned as reprobates by the Mormon Church.
Is there archaeological evidence for the Book of Mormon. Gold Plates or historical evidences that prove that civilizations existed.
Does God have the power to preserve His eternal word as stated in the Book of Mormon? Or, is the Book of Mormon contradicting itself?
LDS believers will argue that if you get a burning in the bosom or a special feeling when reading the Book of Mormon, that this feeling is conformation that the Book of Mormon is true?

The LDS teach that these verses are speaking of two sticks which are the Bible or the stick of Judah, and the Book of Mormon or the stick of Joseph. They believe these two records have now been joined together, constituting a complete fulfillment of a great prophecy spoken of in 2 Nephi 3:12.
LDS teach that Isaiah 29:1-4 is predicting the coming of the Book of Mormon, which was translated from plates hidden in the ground by Moroni – coming as it did “out of the ground” to “whisper out of the dust” to people of our day.
