What is more important – working to keep God’s commandments, or developing a personal relationship with God?
Mormon leaders have taught that these “lost” books are a result of a Great Apostasy, when many “plain and precious things” that were once part of the Bible are no longer there.
The fact that our current Bibles are reliable and accurate come from many other sources, such as archaeology, fulfilled prophecies, the Dead Sea scrolls, and other historical evidence.
For many people, the belief that the Bible contains contradictions and inaccuracies is an excuse for not believing. Many such people have not actually read the Bible for themselves. After a little research, all the alleged contradictions and inaccuracies are totally explainable.
